Description

WHY should you sign up?

The last Prophet of God (pbuh) said, “God will not change the condition of a people until they change themselves…” Muslims need to contribute to all aspects of human civilization, not obsess exclusively over a handful of causes.

WHAT is the objective of the workshop?

"I AM CHANGE" is about active citizenship. It's about each of us embracing our rights as Muslim Americans to work with decision makers in our local communities, in our state legislatures, and in Congress to shape better policies.

HOW will the workshop help you?

I AM CHANGE- YOUTH EDITION is about fostering young leaders while allowing them to maintain their Muslim Identity. The half-day workshop provides: (1) an insight into the Government process and intelligent advocacy; (2) an understanding on what it means to be a Muslim American youth; and (3) a perspective on youth issues and solutions.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

In his capacity as the DC Director of MPAC, Haris engages various agencies within government including the White House, Department of Justice, State Department, Department of Homeland Security and offices on Capitol Hill. The President called and then met with Haris, specifically to discuss policies pertaining to national security, countering violent extremism, the American Muslim community and civic engagement.
